Rube Goldberg was the inspiration for a lot of things. One of my favorites is the game Mouse Trap, first published by Ideal in 1963. For those of you who have never been so luck to play, it is a board game for two or more players. When the game begins, players must cooperate to build a working Rube Goldberg-like mouse trap, but once the mouse trap is finished, the object is to use the machine to trap all of one’s opponent’s mouse-shaped game pieces. It is the perfect combination of game play and contraption creation – fun for all!

Other, less popular and more difficult to find Rube Goldberg-inspired games include Crazy Clock, and Fish Bait.
